Biography

THE JAM TARTS are a 5 piece Waterford based cover band, who have been playing the Irish band circuit and beyond for over ten years. Their average set includes everything from wedding favourites like Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, to 90's indie classics from The Cure, The Smiths, The Stone Roses, to present day hits such as Gotya's, "Somebody I Used To Know" and The Black Keys "Lonely Boy" with some Fat Boy Slim thrown in for good measure. The band have garnered a great reputation for entertaing and filling dance floors over the years. They specialise in their own versions of classic songs worked seamlessly into original mash ups unique to The Jam Tarts.

The current line up of the group can boast ex members of other long running Irish acts such as Soul Reazon, The Butterfly Band, and The Fizz Bombs all coming together to make a very professional and entertaining experience for any audience.

Over the years they have enjoyed many successes, such as a yearly sold out residency on Stephens night in waterford's esteemed 800 seat venue The Forum. A gig the band managed to sell out 6 years running. Till the venue's eventual closing, at which time incidentally, they were asked to be one of the two bands to ring out the venues great linage, hosting such greats as Christy Moore and Johnny Cash over the years. The lads have also held many long standing relationships with many of the major venues throughout the country and continue to play weekly in these to great success.

THE JAM TARTS ORCHESTRA, are an extended version of the main full time line up. The Jam Tarts revert to their orchestra incarnation for special occasions. Such as this year headlining and closing the main stage of the Spraoi festival.

Either version of the band are currently available for weddings, party's, private functions and are willing to travel.
